Pinwheels use a MASSIVE amount of concrete, iron, copper, neodymium (4400 pounds per pinwheel) and other mined-metals and rare earth metals to construct.
Power output is ZERO is the wind is not blowing – which happens plenty. Therefore an EQUAL amount of reliable gas/oil powered generation equipment has to be built in case the wind isn’t blowing – thus costs increase dramatically.
At any given time, 30% of those pinwheels which make no sense and you overpaid for AREN’T EVEN FUNCTIONAL!

According to the Industrial Park agreement, terms for Phase II of the project (capital improvements/investments, employment projections, milestones for performance) were due to be completed “on or before June 30th, 2023” – which is today.

Quite literally, these asswipes are sitting in a house cranking the equivalent of THREE central A/C units as we speak.
Level 2 chargers are the type that wire into your home’s breaker box using a 240V line. These charge your car at up to 7.2 kilowatts (7,200 watts), drawing about 32-40 Amperes of current.
A typical, mid-sized (4-ton or 48,000 BTUs/hr) air conditioner uses ~4,000 watts, so charging the car is like running a bit less than two central AC systems. A water heater is usually 4,500 – 5,500 watts, so the car is pulling more than the water heater too!
A typical clothes dryer uses 6,000 watts – so it uses more than that too!
You cannot meet rising demand with non-dispatchable capacity or you end up with a third world grid.
Texas needs to build about 6 nuclear plants NOW to cover all baseload electrical needs.
If the wind stopped blowing or it was cloudy during this heat wave (not unprecedented) we’d be screwed.

1) The State of Texas is adding about 300,000 people per year, which means a larger and larger demand for electricity on the state’s largest power grid.
Just by moving here at all they increase demand – people like Christine Seefeldt (Germany), Michelle Moore-Rodriguez (CA), Potato Head Stephanie Fitzharris (OR) and local gardening loon Janet Yoder “Crazier” Crozier (OH). These are liberal scum who moved here and then complain repeatedly about how the state is run. They vote for socialist parasites like Greg Casar and his ilk. They enjoy the high-standard of living here that freedom brings and then have the nerve to try and change Texas into the shit holes they came from.
I despise them for this.
2) They increase demand FURTHER by plugging in their idiotic electric cars. Cars which do NOTHING to save the planet and likely do even more damage (cobalt/lithium/nickel/copper strip mining) than ICE cars.
3) They demand (and vote for) more extremely unreliable pinwheels and solar panels be attached to our grid – thus weakening it further. Wind power is EXPECIALLY unreliable as power output varies by the cube of wind speed (if wind speed drops in half, power drops by a factor of 8 – since 2 cubed is 8).
So they are massively increasing demand AND restricting reliable supply AT THE SAME TIME. It is the SAME group of idiots doing both!
Then they have the BALLS to whine “fix the damn grid” when the thing invariably collapses under the stress.
Some of them, like Bruce Haywood and Clayton Tucker, won’t even suffer if the grid fails – because they happen to live near a hospital or a police station. That is “critical infrastructure” which will never be shut down in an emergency.

Remember, this is to run the entire grid. A grid which keeps over 30 million people alive. By comparison, our own school superintendent makes $177,000 for running a few schools for nine months a year. Our City manager makes over $200,000 in salary and benefits for running a tiny town of 7,200.

As you can see in the above “matrix” (actually just a spreadsheet tally where they can enter any un-verifiable information they want) there were only THREE RFIs for the entire first FIVE MONTHS of the year.

OpenTheBooks.com auditors quantified the improper and mistaken payments admitted to by the 17 largest federal agencies. It amounts to a staggering $2.9 trillion since 2004, when the totals are adjusted for inflation.
Last year, in 2022, improper and mistaken federal payments totaled $247 billion. That’s about $20.5 billion per month, or more than $675 million every, single day.
What exactly is an improper payment? Federal law defines the term as “payments made by the government to the wrong person, in the wrong amount, or for the wrong reason.”
In other words, a corner grocery store has better accounting controls than our $6.82 trillion U.S. federal government had in 2021.
The biggest offenders: the Departments of Human & Human Services (HHS), Treasury, Labor (DOL), and Education (ED); and the Small Business Administration (SBA).
Improper payments in health care are especially troubling. In 2011, when President Barack Obama signed the Affordable Care Act, Congress vowed to help pay for it by rooting out waste, fraud, corruption and taxpayer abuse from the Medicare and Medicaid programs.
That never happened.
In fact, the improper payments within these programs soared from $64 billion in 2012 to $136 billion today.
How did the feds waste our money in 2022? Covid-aid programs, as the GAO has said, were especially susceptible to mistakes. Those were in addition to the perennial botched spending.
For starters, dead people received $533 million in benefits: social security payments, federal pensions, and old-age, survivors, and disability insurance kept flowing long after these Americans were gone.

A few more egregious examples:
The Small Business Administration made improper payments through seven of its programs. The Paycheck Protection Program, or PPP, was designed to help small businesses keep employees during the draconian shutdown measures. But it misspent more than $29 billion—$16.5 billion through “unknown” payments, and $12.5 billion by “improper” payments. (The SBA Inspector General has also admitted to $100 billion in fraudulent aid, including $78.1 billion in PPP fraud.)
The Department of Labor spent $18.9 billion incorrectly. Federal State Unemployment Insurance, a program that historically makes up most of the total improper payments, did so again. (Current estimates are $400 billion in unemployment fraud!)
At the Social Security Administration, the Old-Age, Survivors, and Disability Insurance program flubbed $2.5 billion, while Supplemental Security Income sent $4.9 billion astray.
14 Department of Agriculture programs botched $19 billion worth of spending. The Farm Service Agency Coronavirus Food Assistance Program mis-spent $743 million.
The Commodity Credit Corporation Agriculture Risk Coverage and Price Loss Coverage lost $379 million.
The Department of Education admitted that nearly $6 billion went wrong from funds earmarked for “COVID-19 recovery and rebuilding efforts.” Pell Grants, meanwhile, wasted $586 million.
