The unemployed poli sci major who still lives with his parents at age 35 wants you to believe he is just a gun-totin’, steer-wraslin’, rough-and-tumble tough guy who grew up as a rancher.
All of that is total bullshit, of course. He tried to get “assault rifles” banned just a few years ago. That is a fact. That gun prop on his hip was added SOLELY for this campaign. He has NEVER appeared in ANY video carrying a sidearm before this year.

Here are all of the big whoppers he has told during this campaign. I have debunked all of them, of course. His own social media from the Pre-Ag-Campaign days also contradicts everything he now claims to be.
He grew up in an upper-middle-class home in Georgetown. Mom was a worker drone and paper pusher for the Railroad Commission. Dad is an “engineer” (not a rancher).
His mom took a couple of pictures of him with some goats back in 1996 when he was five, so in his book, that makes him a rancher.
He misspelled “baling” hay on his own website…like any city slicker would do.
The “multi-generational family ranch” was only incorporated in December of 2023 – right about when he decided he needed some “evidence” to point at in order to back up his bullshit “rancher” story.
The website for this “business” STILL lists a single cow for sale 14 months after it was posted – clearly the entire website is a sham…like most of his life.
He also changed all his social media claims from “rancher” to “farmer” inexplicably last December when he realized he did not meet the qualifications to be Ag Commissioner.
After switching from fake rancher to fake farmer, someone asked him what crops he grew. His answer? Grass. No, I’m not kidding. In reality, he has never even planted a GARDEN! LOL.
He lied about trying to pay off the school lunch debt at Lampasas ISD. I stone cold busted him and humiliated him publicly and explained how to do it…yet he STILL didn’t pay it off.
The “ranch” is a hobby and has NEVER come close to making a living for anyone. Clayton’s grandpas were a pharmacist and Navy man (he has admitted this) and his dad works for Firefly Aerospace. None of them are/were “ranchers” in the business sense of the word. They owned a few animals – like just about everyone in this area. The ranch has never employed a single person. He has refused to release any documentation on the income/profit of the “ranch” he claims to be managing. The IRS would classify it as a “hobby” and not a business.
He listed his occupation as “political organizer” (NOT rancher or farmer!) on his own candidacy forms! LOL. He literally outed himself as a fraud.
He is a far-left Bernie Sanders apostle…NOT some “freedom and Constitution loving” simple rural dude.
Clayton went to college in Georgetown (STILL living with mommy, just like today!) and his parents wasted $80,000 for him to be a Poli Sci major. An odd choice for someone who is supposedly a multi-generational rancher and was destined to “run the ranch.” Clayton then graduated in 2013 and ran off to China for several years to fondle young Chinese boys. This is also extremely weird and has never been explained by him. He was clearly in no hurry to get back and “run the family ranch.”
He has lied about being a “water researcher for the NSF” and also built on the lie by calling himself an “ag researcher” as well. Both are complete lies, as I have documented.
He concocted a major lie about being severely allergic to “American” food because of all the “toxins’ – apparently the food in China is far better. He told multiple interviewers he was running for Ag Commissioner to “bust monopolies” (a power the AC does not have) and because of his food allergies – all that talk went away after he discovered the data center hysteria.
He bitched about “American bread” (no such thing) because of the “yoga mat chemical” but then got caught red-handed eating junk food at Taco Bell, Panda Express and Whataburger, which uses the “yoga mat chemical” in their buns! LOL.
He consistently refuses to acknowledge that anyone can go to a farmers market and buy food DIRECTLY from farmers. Instead he makes up tall tales about “monopolies,” “middle-men” and “price gouging.” [There is a state hotline you can call to report price gouging – yet Clayton has never bothered to call it and report these phantom violations. Kind of like he never reported the dastardly “horn honk” heard round the world.]
His parents’ house (where he lives at age 35) is literally TWO BLOCKS from the weekly Lampasas Farmers’ Market but he has never sold any “crops” there and has never shopped there. He cannot admit the existence of farmers markets since it destroys the “evil middle men and monopolies” narrative he spins.
He used to claim his “ranch” switched from cattle to goats because of “monopolies” but then switched the story to “global warming” because “goats do better in arid regions.” As soon as he said this, Lampasas had its wettest May since 1895.
There is absolutely nothing Ag Commissioner can do about data centers, power lines, Flock cameras or water usage. His nonsense about “ag impact studies” is utter bullshit and every competent person knows it. He probably does, too. But he continues to defraud old ladies with his promises to “STOP DATA CENTERS!”
He has lied about being a church-going Catholic. All that started when Sid Miller’s cronies and felons took over his social media sites.
Clayton was fine with 700,000 acres of solar panels destroying the Texas landscape, since he is a HUGE believer in banning fossil fuels by 2030…
…but he is having a total meltdown about a relatively tiny 12,000 acres of data centers. This shows his utter hypocrisy.
He made up DOZENS of complete fabrications about data centers such as:
Dove population will be wiped out
Heart murmurs in children
Stillbirths in cows and goats (and maybe humans!)
Early-onset dementia
Wildlife destruction
Chickens laying 50% less eggs
Cattle losing 30% of their body weight
“Heavy metal toxins” in wells
Ear aches in children
Cattle breeding disruption due to light pollution
Doubling of electricity rates
“Jacking up” of water bills
“Destroying” water so that is just disappears forever
Violating his made-up law of “quiet enjoyment”
Making noises that can be heard five miles away
Creating massive heat domes that can be felt five miles away
Clayton tells us that data centers (which we have had hundreds of for decades) are going to “take all the water.” But even the data center nutjobs have to admit, they currently use only 0.4% of all Texas water every year. FAR less than ANY other major industry.
He has been lying about his past for years and years now. Much like OJ Simpson, he has told the lies so many times now, he probably believes them. His ENTIRE resume is like this:

Every single thing he has stated from start to finish is a lie. His real accomplishments could rest comfortably on an eyelash. He is 35 years old and lives with his parents. He was supposedly HANDED a multi-generational ranch with ALL the equipment and with beef prices at all time highs and he STILL cannot make a buck. He blames “monopolies” for his lifelong failure, despite the fact that somehow over 100,000 other family ranches are managing to stay in existence!
