Clayton is super duper upset that some data centers use like a MILLION gallons of water a day! Can you believe it? Clearly we need to ban them all immediately. Rich assholes!
Oh but wait! Texas has close to a million residential swimming pools! Add in water parks and municipal pools and it’s likely the equivalent of a million separate pools of water scattered all over the state.
You know what happens all summer long? Those pools evaporate a LOT of water – between 100 and 200 gallons PER pool PER day! That’s 150 million gallons every single day literally vanishing into thin air! The horror! Rich asshole Big Shot pool owners are turning on their spigots and pumping 150 million gallons a day into their pools just for a few hours of luxury and frivolity a week. So wasteful. So thoughtless. Will you PLEASE think of the future children in the year 2070 before you drain all the water! My god.

Texas has built hundreds of new reservoirs over the last 100 years as the population grows and smart people plan for the future. We’re doing just fine.
Water doesn’t get “used up” and destroyed. It moves through the hydrological cycle. He should have learned this in grade school.
We don’t need an unemployed bum who lives with his parents chiding us over every cup of water we drink and every ounce of piss we flush down a toilet.
