Yes, you read that right.
Since the rain started falling last Thursday, the monitored reservoirs in Texas increased 1% from 71.6% to 72.6% – which represents over 100 BILLION gallons of water.
Every single data center in Texas combined uses around 25 billion gallons of water per year – or 0.4% of the state’s entire water usage.
[The country loses over SIX BILLION GALLONS per DAY just to leaky pipes, to put this all in perspective]
So JUST the rain that fell over a few days is enough supply for every single data center in Texas for the next FOUR YEARS. We’re good until almost 2031. Amazing!
It’s almost like the data centers don’t “steal” the water and destroy it but just use it like everyone else (golf courses, manufacturing plants, mining, oil production, etc) and then it returns to the hydrological cycle to start all over again.
Somebody please inform the hysterical data center morons about this.
The same molecule of water that Abraham Lincoln pissed out in 1863 after he suspended Habeas Corpus has been been wandering around the planet ever since and has probably even been in Comrade Clayton’s mouth a few times. Which no doubt gives him a micro boner.
Funny, my electricity rates haven’t doubled yet either. Weird.
