Makes me sad that these parents were probably unnecessarily scared shitless for the last 8 months (thanks to incessant fear mongering by morons) about their kids dying of a virus when a bunch of other things were far more likely to kill them – like maybe somebody leaving a candle burning or something.

So what is it this time? Why is the City AGAIN paying Jo-Christy Brown gobs of tax dollars to tell me to pound sand?
Well, it has to do with the ill-fated ‘business park’ and their attempts to get someone – anyone! – into that ‘park’ to show it isn’t a complete disaster and financial train wreck.

Why, you pay up AGAIN and hire a supposedly independent “third party” to “analyze” Mike Cour and his pile of feces to see if you can polish it up. This third party is Impact DataSource…and their main business seems to be (in my opinion!) taking big checks from government to give an official-sounding ‘seal of approval’ to garbage businesses like Mike Cour and Eco-Strong. To polish the Eco-Turd, as it were.
Impact DataSource charged the City a $950 fee to “analyze” Eco-Turd and thus expunge its stench – giving it a false patina of reputability, in my opinion. Impact DataSource is supposed to polish Eco-Turd up nice and clean so it can be inserted into Langford Community Management Services CARES ACT grant – for which they are charging the City $7,500 and which was SUPPOSED to be submitted back on July 31st!!!
I have been requesting this impact report every single week for the last 3.5 months, hoping to catch it as soon as it was finished. Every single week, they tell me “there are no responsive documents to your request”. In other words, the study STILL wasn’t completed.
That all changed this week. Instead of telling me “no responsive documents”, they made me wait a full week and then have JC Brown send me this utter tripe about “proprietary information” as she kicked it up to the Texas State Attorney General to see if he agrees. This will take 30 days, of course.
Seems to me that if the City was as transparent as Misti pretends it to be, a simple photocopy of the “impact study” could be produced in a about 5 minutes and handed to me for the usual 10 cents a page.
But no. The City is ONCE AGAIN spending piles of money and refusing to disclose details. Luckily, one of the larger idiots on City council is now gone (Chuck Williamson) and another new member – Bob Goodart – has already made it very clear to me he thinks the ‘business’ park is a colossal waste of money.
Guess it’s time to call my lawyers AND Mr Goodart to get some answers from a very unwilling LEDC.
The Gesundheitsfuhrer of Virginia has just decreed – no law having been passed – that the Holy Rag must be worn in all indoor spaces beginning Sunday and also that the cattle may not gather in groups of 25 or more.
He intends to sic the Gesundheitspolizei on the “noncompliant.” Not wearing the Holy Rag, in other words, will become of more interest to the polizei than crime.
Because the cases! the cases!
Which brings up the case of Elon Musk – who claims to have tested positive . . . and negative . . . two times each on the same day.
“Same machine, same test, same nurse . . .”
“Something extremely bogus is going on,” he said.
Now Musk is many things but he’s not poor and so these tests – Rapid Antigen – were the top-shelf items administered by top-shelf medical people.
And they came back incoherent.
Which is one of the many problems with this manufactured pandemic of fear. It is premised on “cases” without symptoms, context or even accurate testing. This being the basis for imposing a breathtaking regime of dictatorial control.
Musk later Tweeted his suspicions that the “spike” in the cases! the cases! is likely due to the “cases” being based on what politeness might style bullshit:
“If it is happening to me, it’s happening to others” and – touching the third rail – “revenues from (these) tests are likely not bogus and very consistent.”
Indeed.
There is a great deal of money in the cases! the cases! – especially for the big corporations that are using them – or rather, using their tools in government, such as The Coonman in Virginia – to usher in a new round of lockdowns, which will mostly lockdown corporations’ competitors, the smaller independent retailers and so on that cannot afford to limit their customers to 25 at a time.
And we all know how hospitals are paid to report the cases! the cases! – each “case” amounting to a ka-ching of the cash register, giving them thousands of dollars’ of incentive to find as many “cases” as they can.
The cases! the cases! also enables the perpetuation of the appearance of sickness by making everyone appear sick or in dread of it via the wearing of the Holy Rag, which is a religious vestment by definition since a woolen neck scarf or old bandana or dust mask that has the same power to screen out viral particles that a chain link fence has to screen out mosquitos meets our oppressors’ criteria for a “face covering.”
Which reveals that the purpose is to cover our faces. To muzzle us. To make us look the same and make it appear we think the same.
We are being made to wear the coverings for the same reason a horse is made to wear the bit only it’s much more sinister because the bit isn’t meant to degrade the horse while the Holy Rag is intended to do precisely that, by forcing us to pretend we agree with the tenets of a deranged cult.
It’s not just money that’s in play this time.
It is everything.
The creatures behind the cases! the cases! are making their move – what may be their checkmate move. The cases! the cases! is the groundwork being laid for the suspension of everything and the imposition of everything.
It must be fought.
There must be mass refusal to wear the Holy Rag.
Refuse to accept being emotionally blackmailed by the emotionally unhinged. If you aren’t sick, do not accept that you are obliged to pretend you are sick to assuage the feelings of the mentally sick.
There must be mass defiance of lockdowns, personal as well as public. Prisons are “locked down.”
Businesses that refuse to close or enforce “mandates” must be supported by people willing to risk arrest, should it come to that.
Are you sick of this yet? Then do something about it!
Maybe he had a heart attack, stroke or kidney problems and happened to test positive for long-dead RNA fragments upon admission. Remember, a “case” is defined as a “positive PCR test” (amplified 42 times here in Texas) and is a meaningless metric. Covid exists in contagious form for about FIVE days but it can exist in DETECTABLE FORM for about SEVENTY-SEVEN DAYS!
We are NEVER filled in on any details at all by our Mayor – which allows scared rabbits to envision the absolute worst scenario and assume all of these deaths were healthy and robust souls struck down in their prime. Which is, of course, utter nonsense.
Supposedly this is our 12th fatality…but I very much question that number. Between all the “we don’t know the timeline” stuff and “he was in another county” stuff and the fact that the Covid Worldometer STILL has Lampasas County at NINE fatalities (where it has been stuck for THREE MONTHS), there is no reason to have much confidence in that “12 fatalities” number.
But let’s say for argument’s sake that we HAVE had three whole deaths in the last three months – going back to August 18th. OK fine. Care to guess how many OTHER people have died in Lampasas County since August 18th?
I went through the Dispatch obituaries for the last three months to find out. Of course, some people may have also died and not had an obituary (meaning there are even MORE deaths than I’m counting), but we’ll go with the assumption that everyone did.
How many deaths did I find?
FORTY-SEVEN PEOPLE have passed away in Lampasas County in the last 3 months. Many of those were heartbreaking and tragic – including a newborn infant, a young woman in her 30s killed in a construction accident, a poor guy in his 50s who died of brain cancer and several other cancer deaths at a relatively young age.
Did Misti get on Facebook and report those deaths and ask everyone to pray for their loved ones? No…she did not. Why not? Are those deaths less tragic? I would argue quite the opposite. So the only conclusion is that somehow a Covid death is “more important” than any other death for some odd reason.
This fits with the typical liberal practice of only looking at one side of any ledger. They tout all the supposed benefits of – for instance – eliminating student debt, but don’t mention who pays that cost.
Likewise, they wail and clutch their pearls over the death of an 83-year-old man (who just happened to weigh 300 pounds, have diabetes and a history of strokes) but they say nothing about the huge spike in suicides and overdoses in the tragically healthy and young population.
They post and urge prayers for one random person who died but not the 16 others who died in the same month in a far more tragic manner. Which begs the question: why the hell are you posting any of this at all? If it’s to reassure scared rabbits, it is having the opposite effect – drawing attention to a single death that may well have happened anyways.
If anything, they should be giving MORE information to soothe the scared rabbits...much like Burnet County did with their first Covid death. Remember this one??
Burnet County Judge James Oakley said the county’s first death was a 57-year-old woman who was a resident of Bertram Nursing Home. Judge Oakley said the death happened on the afternoon of May 26.
The woman had been bedridden with cardiovascular disease for an extended time and was paralyzed from a stroke, according to the judge. She was also a cigarette smoker.The woman died from rapid onset pneumonia and posthumously tested positive for COVID-19.
THAT is how you report. THAT is how you give an ACCURATE picture of the situation. This “a gentleman in his 70s” bullshit is worse than no information at all, because it lets the imaginations of scared rabbits and dummies fill in the many blanks.
Any bets on how long the weekly Covid reports will continue? Dec 31? The end of Misti’s mayoral term? Never??
I started thinking how ridiculous the last few “fatalities” in our county were. Lots of “we don’t know the timeline” and “this gentleman died quite some time back”. So I decided to do a reality check. You know…to keep nitwits like Jane Lopez and Melissa Johnson and Chris McDaniel from becoming hysterical with panic. Here is an interesting way to look at the supposed fatalities. These are ALL taken DIRECTLY from Misti’s Facebook reporting:
August 18th: Total of 5 fatalities as of today. This was nearly three months ago.
August 24th: “There has a been a change to our fatalitycount from 5 to 7. Dr Hay explains that there are two fatalities quite some time back“. What a pile of shit. So it could have been back onJuly 1st or even in June. We have no idea. The ‘true’ fatality count since Aug 18th is thus unchanged.
August 26th: One more fatality. Zero details. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they died on Aug 24th. One death since Aug 18th.
September 7th: Another fatality (#9), which “occurred THREE weeks back” – which would be August 17th. No more details. Still ONE death since Aug 18th.
September 15th: Another fatality (#10) – but “timeline and information NOT available” according to Misti….which means this could have happened months ago!
October 9th: We lost a precious resident (#11) and he was a male in his 70s – BUT THE LOSS OCCURRED “ABOUT A MONTH AGO” – that would be September 9th.So we are now looking at 2 fatalities since August 18th.
November 14th: This is today. Looking back at the blue text colors, we can see only 2 deaths since August 17th. TWO deaths in THREE months in a county of 22,000 citizens and ZERO deathsin the last TWO MONTHS (since SEPTEMBER NINTH!) – and most of us have NOT been wearing masks.
I never wear a mask ANYWHERE. I have been in EIGHT different airports and on TEN different airplanes since February 28th….and never wore a mask except to walk past the gate agent. I never even washed my hands after taking a piss in the airport. I’ve been TRYING to catch this! My close friends are acting the same way. Result: nothing. We are all still alive and feeling fine.

So – the scared rabbits are quaking because some kids in school tested positive! You know – those exact same schools where they force everyone into masks, spend gobs of money of Plexiglas, gloves and Lysol, and don’t let little kids hold hands or share food. THOSE schools.
First of all, what does that tell you about all your precious precautions? It tells me they are useless against a tiny virus that is less than a micron in diameter.
The virus is gonna virus. You cannot stop it. These kids should be allowed to go about their day as they have for the last 250 years – mask-free. Let them build herd immunity. The virus IS NOT A THREAT to the under 20 crowd. NOT AT ALL.
For people like Melissa “Mask Nazi” Johnson and Jane Lopez who are incapable of reading graphs or comprehending basic math and stats, the above chart means this: for every 100 deaths that occur in the under-20 cohort (that means “group”, Melissa) there are NINETY-NINE that are NOT from Covid. That includes auto accidents, suicides, overdoses, falls, choking, cancer, etc.
Some kids testing “positive” in the local schools means absolutely nothing. Get over it. If you are ELDERLY and/or morbidly obese, then you have some decisions to make and risks to weigh. Luckily, the ELDERLY aren’t in high school or even in the work place. They are mostly retired and can sit at home in their space suits all alone watching Wheel of Fortune until they die of heart disease if they are THAT scared.
Other, more rational elderly humans might decide that they are willing to take the small risk of dying a bit earlier while still enjoying a normal life. They might actually want to hug and be around their grand kids and feel that a slight increase in the risk of death is MORE than worth it. I know I would.
Do NOT listen to the scared rabbits and the Chicken Littles. They have been wrong about this from the start. If they had their way, we’d all be in cages and in space suits since those are “totally safe”.
