Can’t believe I forgot to post this last week. Just goes to show you how inconsequential Misti Talbert is in the grand scheme of things. Her resignation letter is a true work of art. Filled with delusions and nonsense…just like her terms as mayor and LEDC president.
In my book, leadership is defined by decisively choosing the proper course of action after careful weighing of reality and the facts and then succeeding in your mission through sheer willpower.
Leadership is NOT packing your board with cronies, wasting millions and accomplishing absolutely nothing…which is exactly what she did.

I think the most hilarious part is where she implies she was “constrained” in her actions and “had her hand tied between her back”! BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
Lady, you had ALL your cronies packed on the board. You and your bff TJ Monroe were CONCURRENTLY running the LEDC AND City council for many years (which I repeatedly pointed out was a HUGE conflict of interest). You were handed almost a MILLION dollars in Covid money that the City could have used for just about anything else. I’m not sure how you get “constrained” out of all that.
Don’t forget Cathy “Porkchop” Kuehne gave that colossal waste of Covid money her blessing: “I’ve been filled in on this, and I think it’s a win-win.” [34:45 mark]
The above photo is Misti begging for $971,000 in Covid money back in February of 2022. Her bff TJ Monroe was mayor (Monroe ALSO sat on LEDC board at that time) and Porkchop Kuehne was cheering it all on from the peanut gallery.
Misti lied repeatedly about all the tenants who were “just about to move in” over the last four years and she threw a fit last year when it was suggested that maybe, just maybe, they needed some new blood on the LEDC instead of the same 6 or 8 people who had been running it into the ground for decades.
If anything, City council gave you TOO MUCH of a free hand. They should have fired your ass a long time ago and demanded straight answers about your “tenants about to move in” bullshit. You were the OPPOSITE of “constrained” for the last four years, and the failed, empty “business park” is the result of your incompetence.
