Mayor Looks At Our Statistics Bass-Ackwards

“You know who you are”? Who? The CDC? The Texas Department of Health? The coronavirus worldometer web page?

My goodness. It’s ‘nosy’, sweetheart. I sure hope all our City correspondence gets spell checked before it’s sent out into the real world!

Anyway, I hate to break this to you, but all these Wuhan flu stats are reported all over the place – including to the CDC and the state health department. Being ‘nosey’ [sic] has nothing to do with it. No wonder it’s always so hard for me to get information from the City about your expensive no-bid contracts: you probably think I’M being ‘nosey’ trying to find out about all the tax dollars wasted. Gives us a glimpse of your world-view, I suppose.

I would look at the above and state it quite differently:

“Look at our great news: 98.76% of our county has NOT contracted Covid! Also, 99.91% of our county is NOT currently an “active” case! This is despite a huge majority of people ignoring our stupid mask mandates in real life (as they should!). But that won’t stop me from letting people call the cops on you and try to fine you money! It won’t stop us from making your child strap a diaper on their face every day at school and breathe their own CO2 and warm, damp bacteria cultures! You know why it won’t stop us? Because we are HUGE on virtue signaling and doing things that make us FEEL good even though they have ZERO basis in fact! We LOVE making our kids miserable for no good reason! Oh, and we’ll be shutting down half the football stadium for the same nonsense reasons! Yay for us!”

THAT’S what you are REALLY doing.

Speaking of ignoring mask mandates (as I have done since May 1st), I am happy to report that once you get past the mask nazis at Wal-Mart, you can feel free to take your mask off and shop like a normal human instead of a leper. I do it all the time. Wal-Mart employees are trained NOT to get into conflict with you. Wal-Mart corporate office doesn’t want the liability of a crazed anti-masker beating up or shooting their employees. That opens them to lawsuits.

SO – go ahead and take that mask off if you want. If a worker says anything, just tell them “I have a condition!”. If they ask what my condition is (which is illegal under the Disabilities Act) I just tell them “my condition is my IQ is over 75” and just keep walking.

Eventually, perhaps life will return to normal and the lunatics will no longer be in charge of the asylum.

Accurate Covid Reporting Is Extremely Important – Even If Our Mayor Doesn’t Think So

Plenty of tricks are being played with Covid reporting all over the country. Take Florida, as just one example:

The median age of yesterday’s deaths was 93. In case you haven’t studied math in a while, that means that half of the 149 deaths reported – HALF! – were older than 93.

The earliest date of death in the report was July 15, but three people on the list tested positive in May. That means a minimum of 60 days from testing positive to dying. Another two had positive tests over 30 days before the earliest death.

This strongly implies that somebody is going back through death certificates and putting anyone who ever had a positive COVID test and later died (of any cause) on the list of COVID deaths.

Is happening in our county? Who knows. After all – our mayor thinks that’s being “nosy” and thinks that if you express your opinion about incompetent Big Government, you’re not worthy of consideration. She’s just fine “following orders” from people drunk on power and governing by executive fiat.

People in charge who are criticized oftentimes get defensive like this when valid criticism is aimed at them. They don’t want to hear ANY dissension. They just want you to be quiet and obey.

Yeah – it’s only been eight months now. It’s STILL not the time for any debate. Shut up and obey. I DO like the advice to stay home for “those concerned”, however. Maybe Kuehne can suggest that to Julie Landrum the next time she whines about a restaurant mask policy?

Of course, this idiotic quote makes zero sense. Who said opinion IS knowledge? Opinion is opinion…usually informed by solid FACTS, which ARE knowledge. I form my opinions by gathering iron-clad facts and statistics. The more solid facts you have, the better you can inform your opinion.

Clearly she prefers “feeling” over facts. As in “the facts show that masks do jack shit when it comes to stopping Wuhan spread, but I FEEL like I’m keeping everyone safe, so I’ll be a barking seal and go along.”

Strange, because that is what we see in liberals. Misti never struck me as a liberal, but here we are.

If you are a state legislator or county councilman or town mayor who just sits silently when government is exercising more power than anytime in history, then just resign.

It’s like a football player sitting out the playoffs. This is why you were elected. Enough with executive fiat.
