P.S. – An interesting detail many people might overlook in The Odyssey is that Athena put Penelope in a magical sleep while Odysseus and Telemachus slaughtered the suitors who had been stealing all his wealth and harassing his wife while he was gone. Women have a tendency to get in the way of what needs to be done by men to set society right. They just don’t have the stomach for that stuff.
