Christine Seefeldt, a rabid liberal from Killeen who loves to shit on America, compare us unfavorably to her native Germany, crap on capitalism, and blabber about gun bans is apparently over in her beloved Germany right now….

Oh no! Some shitty airport in Berlin (which was such a disaster it cost almost TWICE what was originally budgeted) doesn’t have a picture of Trump in it?? The horror!

Perhaps that’s because Trump made the Germans look like absolute morons by predicting correctly that they were screwing themselves by relying so heavily on Russia for energy. Trump also demanded that the krauts pony up their required donation to NATO – which they have not done for a very long time, and thus have been mooching off the U.S. for defense.

You know how many pictures of Angela Merkel and Helmut Kohl I have seen in the dozens of U.S. airports I have been in over the last 40 years? Zero. Because we don’t give two shits over here about what Germany is doing. They are a fly speck. They are a country of clowns who have bought into the Greentard movement so badly they have shut down all of their nuclear reactors.

Germany also shot themselves in the dick by letting a pile of third-world scum into their country – which they are now regretting badly.

Frau Seefeldt should just stay over there permanently and do us all a favor here.

Now that the LEDC is in negotiations with an “unknown party” to give some stuff away, I’d like to post a reminder of who qualifies for these incentives and what milestones/conditions they have to meet. Rest assured that the moment this secret deal is finalized, I will be requesting ALL of these documents from the City.

Applicant shall submit a completed application for financial assistance, together with the following:

1. Business plan
2. Current financials (balance sheet and income statement YTD)
3. Past financials (balance sheet and income statement for last 2 years)
4. Financial pro-formas (at least 3-5 years forward-looking)
5. Federal income tax returns from the company and/or owners

The proposed development or redevelopment should create and maintain jobs that pay wages, specific to the industry, equal to or larger than the average hourly wage within the Lampasas Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA). Wage information can be found at www.texaswages.com

[In other words, just creating more McDonald’s-type wages that already exist a-plenty around here is not good enough]

Other items:

The LEDC may request the City prepare a fiscal impact study in response to an application for economic development assistance. This study shall identify, over a period of NO LESS THAN TEN (10) years and up to TWENTY (20) years, the amount of gross and net benefit the community will derive from assisting the qualified applicant.

So, when this agreement is finalized, the taxpayers should be informed of (1) how many jobs are being created, (2) the wages of those jobs. If they are creating 5 or 6 jobs that pay $38,000 a year…well, that’s not all that impressive.

I would also add a third piece of requested information: where are those workers coming from? Because if they all live in Harker Heights or Copperas Cove or Austin, then all Lampasas has done is blow $7.2 million to funnel money into those cities…which does not benefit Lampasas in the slightest.

In closing, I’d like to present a blast from the past (2.5 years ago) when Eco-Strong and Mike Cour blew themselves up the first time. From this City email between Finley and Mandy, it doesn’t sound like everything was going very smoothly!

I wonder what Mandy was so stressed over? Of course, I cannot see the attachment Finley is referring to, because these are hard copies of email threads. But if I had to guess, I’d say Mandy is starting to realize here that Mike Cour is full of shit and his projections/financials/pipe dreams are maybe starting to reflect that!

Hey, no worries. Mike only wanted the City to pony up $1.8 million so he could start a business here! No biggie!

Remember: the City of Irving just handed out $75,000 in exchange for THIRTY jobs with a $100,000 wage.

If I had to guess, I’d say the LEDC will end up giving away $500,000 for about 8 jobs that pay $40,000. Which would be a shitty deal, to say the least.

While backers were telling us what angels skateboarders are, I was busy predicting the first vandalism date for Campbell Park now that there was a skateboard park there. As I wrote back on March 7th:

“I’ll make my over/under date on bathroom vandalism/destruction a little later at June 20th.“

I was a little early on that. This happened last week:

I am still waiting on details from the City. Weird that I didn’t see it in the newspaper last week.

You’d think that a City that can spend $100,000 on some TVs and microphones for City council chambers could also spend like 2 or 3 grand on security cameras to watch over City assets.

Ouch. This makes Comrade Clayton’s beatdown two years ago look like a close race!

Good riddance to Goodart, too. The guy was a mucus plug.

So the GOOD news is Kuehne will not be the face of Lampasas….and THIS will not be the First Gentleman of Lampasas:

The BAD news is she still sits on City council – and thus the Kuehne Kancer has not truly been excised yet.

That means two more years of her dramatically taking off her glasses to appear erudite and asking such hard-hitting and insightful questions as:

“Have we considered calling up LAST YEAR’S lifeguards and see if they want to work this summer for shitty wages?”

Truly genius.

Oh well. Let’s look on the bright side. Only two goldfish left out of seven council spots (Williamson and Kuehne). I don’t know much about these new guys but they can’t be worse than what we had for most of the last 6 or 7 years. With only two goldfish, they shouldn’t be able to exert much control over the sane portion of City council.

No excuses now, boys! We have a bunch of men from the real world up there running things now! Make Lampasshole proud!
