LEDC ‘Business Park’ And Eckermann Payments (Part II)

We already covered the large amounts of payments (kinda/sorta hidden from easy view) that were made from the LEDC to Eckermann Engineering for the ‘business’ park debacle:

Now we I’ll walk you through a short exercise in logic:

  1. LEDC was making the first installment of those $70,800 in payments to Eckermann “for engineering services of Business Park Phase 1 Roadway and Utility Improvements” back in JUNE of 2019.
  2. It therefore follows that they were making these plans to have Eckermann “engineer” the park even before that – probably in early 2019. But for SURE in April and May of 2019.
  3. Covid-19 was not around back in June of 2019. It hadn’t been released on the world yet and would not happen for another 7 months – therefore, the LEDC and City HAD to already have a plan to pay for this “Phase I” construction, right? Their plan could NOT have been: “hey, let’s grab millions in federal Covid funds next year” because there was no such thing yet.
  4. If they DID have a plan on how to pay for all this back then, then why are they now screaming poor and talking about begging to Uncle Sam for some “Covid relief grants”? Why not go ahead with the original plan on how to pay for the Phase I plans that Eckermann was about to engineer for them (at a cost of $70k)
  5. The LEDC is funded by sales tax receipts and sales tax receipts were UP over 14% last year!! Therefore, the LEDC was not economically injured by Covid. Quite the opposite. Therefore, the original plan from May of 2019 on how the hell to pay for all of this should still be in play – nothing has changed in terms of LEDC funding
  6. If they DID NOT have a plan on how to pay for all of this after Eckmermann banged out his $70,800 master plan papers, then that is basically an admission of monumental incompetence and stupidity on the part of the LEDC and City council. They are basically telling us, “yeah, we wasted $70,800 for a pile of engineering plans, but we have no idea how we are going to fund the ACTUAL construction of those plans.

So which is it, LEDC??

Option one: you had a plan on how to pay for Phase I BEFORE you threw $70,800 at Eckermann – a plan you should still be able to use, since you have not been financially injured.

Option two: you had no idea back in June of 2019 how in the hell you were going to pay for all this and you were just winging it and playing it by ear. You were willing to waste $70,800 on plans that might never even come to fruition.

It’s either one or the other, guys.

More Scummy Covid Counting – Plus New “Orders” From Our Health Fuhrer

From today’s Radiogram:

Dr. Georgia Hay shared with Lampasas Radio this morning that Lampasas County recorded another fatality due to Covid-19. A gentleman in his 80’s who is from Lampasas, but was in along term care facility in another county has passed away. His wife also passed away from Covid-19 in another county.

What’s next? We get to count anyone who was born here but moved somewhere else in the last 5 years? Maybe we can count anyone who drove through Lampasas county at some point in their life but later died?

Absolutely idiotic. More proof that our “fatality” numbers are complete and utter horse shit.

This has to be the longest-running prank in American history, this Covid nonsense. Unfortunately, some of the people I would expect to see through the joke (like our “health authority”) are actually falling for it.

I remember last summer when hysterical dummies like Melissa Johnson, Bruce Haywood, Hubert “Heath” Humperdink and Julie Cain Landrum were having FITS that some people weren’t wearing masks. “Mask up!” “Wear your damn mask!”, they would constantly virtue signal on social media.

Those of us with a brain (and wry sense of humor) said “if two masks are needed, then why don’t YOU just wear them both?”

That was a joke. This is real life. These retards are ACTUALLY now telling us to double up on masks. Which makes me ask the obvious question: if wearing two masks is needed for protection, why the hell have you been suggesting ONE mask for the last year??

Of course, when this shit storm first hit, Fauci told us masks were useless and not to bother. That was the only time that weasel muppet has been right in his pathetic and useless life.

Not to be outdone, now our own local health authority is jumping in on the fun of ordering people to perform useless rituals. This is HOT OFF THE PRESS:

We were contacted today from the local County Health Authority. With the increasing numbers of positive Covid Cases in our community, especially the growth in families and children, it has been requested that all people above the age of 10 that are spectators during basketball practices and games wear face coverings. We will work with our local health authority because their recommendation can help our community and will allow our kids to finish their basketball season.

Our kids having normalcy and finishing the season is very important to us. We will require the wearing of a face covering from all coaches and spectators above the age of 10, effective immediately. We understand that you may eat at the game, but we would expect your face covering to be on the rest of the time. These are crazy and different times and we ask that you all comply with this request for the remainder of the season.

Never mind that these basketball gatherings have been going on for WEEKS and WEEKS – including last week when the “active case” count was FAR HIGHER. The good doctor is searching high and low for places to flex her “authority”, apparently.

Please STOP CALLING THEM CASES! Someone testing positive using the PCR test at 42 amplifications is NOT A CASE. A medical doctor who is also our “authority” should damn well know this.

The grapevine tells me that there is a surge in positive PCR test results running through the school system. So what? Any deaths? Hospitalizations? No? Just a bunch of “positive” on an overly-sensitive test? Aren’t all the teachers and staff ALREADY wearing masks full time at school all day? If so, then that means those masks aren’t doing shit – so how is making me wear one for an hour at basketball going to make things better?

It won’t. So, kiss my ass. You’ll never get me into that muzzle.

I feel fine right now – which means I’m 99.5% likely to be healthy and maybe 1/2% likely to be an asymptomatic Covid case. Either way, the likelihood of me getting anyone sick is somewhere in the neighborhood of .00001%. I’m more likely to kill you by running you over accidentally in the parking lot.

So kiss my ass a second time.

How many of these “cases” are presenting any symptoms at all?? 10%? Less? You DO realize this is cold and flu season, right? People get sick with colds and flu all the time right now. But now you want to call it “Covid” and force me into a muzzle, even though I am perfectly healthy and feel fine?

Sorry. Not gonna do it. Guess I’ll be the test case over the power to arrest someone for not wearing a mask. Expect to see my smiling bare naked face at basketball this week.

It’s very sad that someone who is supposedly an “authority” on this has zero command of the latest studies, facts and science. Allow me to steer you in the right direction

1. Masks do not work and are not safe.

2. Asymptomatic transmission is not a thing

3. A positive PCR test at 42 amplifications is NOT a “case”

4. This is a concern ONLY to the very old.

$10 Plastic Owl – The Best Candidate For City Council Place Six.

Hello folks!

I’m running for Place 6 on Lampasas City council. The seat is currently held by TJ Monroe. Did you realize she has been on City council AND the LEDC board for at least TEN YEARS!

Sure, I may be made of plastic, but I won’t be any worse than TJ Monroe!

How do I know?

  1. I will never vote to spend $96,000 for a no-bid audio/visual system when we already agreed to spend $34,000 with another company!
  2. I won’t piss away $1.5 million remodeling a building like Old City Hall.
  3. I’ll never vote to waste $180,000 on a public bathroom in a park.
  4. I’ll never vote to spend $128,800 on an elevator when we can buy one for $96,000
  5. I’ll never vote to hand $72,000 in free electrical hookups to a rich developer whose newly-built houses are fetching 15% more than he estimated.
  6. I’ll never vote to hand $185,000 to one of my former council members for HIS housing development either [page 32 check #158087]
  7. I’ll never vote to spend another penny on the idiotic business park. All that park is good for is hunting mice and snakes. I love to hunt there, but TOTALLY not worth $4 million dollars.

Pretty much all I will do is sit there doing nothing – thereby NOT wasting tax money. I will never break this promise – mainly because I am a nocturnal bird of prey and therefore sleep all day – making me pretty unobtrusive during City council meetings.

Hey Hey! Ho Ho! TJ Monroe! You’ve Got To GO!!!

City council member TJ Monroe has been sitting on council wreaking ruinous spending havoc for AT LEAST TEN YEARS! She has also been on the LEDC board for AT LEAST TEN YEARS.

NOBODY has hung around that long. Go back and look at City council members from 10 years ago – there is TJ Monroe plus a bunch of names who are now long gone.

Time to hang up the cleats, lady. Go play bingo, watch Matlock and enjoy your remaining years.

I say “at least” because city council minutes are only posted back to 2013 and LEDC minutes are only posted back to 2016. She is shown in all the minutes going back that far for both organizations.

So I had to find a way to search farther back.

I then did a Lampasas Dispatch archive search for TJ Monroe: the earliest mention of her is as a council member in the 5/13/11 issue – which will be TEN YEARS AGO when her term ends this May!!

I ACTUALLY searched all the way back to Jan 1, 2009 – but she only first pops up in the 5/13/11 issue and she’s already a council member at that point.

I am thinking that even the Dispatch archives don’t go back far enough to find out when she joined council and LEDC!

Ironically, the very first issue that mentions her is an article about how she voted to approve a grant application for a developer! Not much has changed in 10 years, has it TJ? You still think money grows on trees and you still hand out tax dollars to any clown who asks.

For the love of God, SOMEBODY throw their hat in the ring to run against this woman. Even if she were a smart and savvy member of council (which she most certainly is not), ten years is too long for ANYONE to be in that position. Being on the LEDC concurrently makes it even worse. She has done twice the damage that way.

The mayoral post and City council Place 1, Place 2 and Place 6 will be up for election May 1, according to City Secretary Becky Sims.

Misti Talbert is the mayor. Delana Toups holds Place 1, Randy Clark holds Place 5, and TJ Monroe holds Place 6.

Candidates must be at least 21 years old and citizens and qualified voters of Texas and Lampasas. They must have resided in the city for at least 12 consecutive months preceding election day.

Eckermann Engineering Getting Sneaky-Paid ANOTHER $70,800 For LEDC ‘Business Park’ Debacle (PART I)

The goat pasture called a “Business Park” is the grift that keeps on giving to Eckermann Engineering, as I have covered in the past. Eckermann has engineered and surveyed the SHIT out of that goat pasture! Here are some past tithes the LEDC paid to Pope Eckermann to bless their corpse repository:

Month after month! Like a greengrocer paying off the mafia or something. Unbelievable!

That was a total of $168,740 back in the 2014 and 2015 timeframe.

The scam started WAY before that, however, as this photo of the LEDC 2004 Form 990 tax filings show [Schedule A – part VII]:

They blew $43,429 on “Engineering/Surveying” right off the bat after purchasing the goat pasture – and those are 2004 dollars!

This “business park” has been engineered and surveyed more times than Ronnie Witcher has cried ‘wolf!’ over Wuhan Flu!

At least back then, they called it what it was: “Engineering/Surveying”, which makes it easy to see and add up. Things then changed, apparently. In an odd way:

The LEDC finally filed their tax forms for the 2018/2019 fiscal year. I saw an odd line in there under “MANAGEMENT” for $57,338 [Part IX 11 a]. I have never noticed a “management’ number in their tax filings going back 17 years.

For instance, the previous year, there was ZERO on the “Management” line item – although you can see they wasted about $43,000 on “Legal”!!!

[Are you beginning to understand the SCOPE of the absolute WASTE OF MONEY all of this is??]

The year before that, same thing: zero money on “Management” and $41,244 on “Legal”:

SO! Why the huge “management” fee JUST this past year? The LEDC board works for free and Mandy Walsh is handsomely paid a six-figure package of salary and benefits to be “Economic Director”.

So who the hell was paid $57,338 for “management”?

Turns out Eckermann Engineering got the lion’s share. According to Mandy Walsh, Pope Eckermann “was paid $48,800 for engineering services of Business Park Phase 1 Roadway and Utility Improvements”

Why not break it out as “Engineering/Surveying” as was done many times in the past? Why stick it under the ridiculous line item of “Management” when it has ZERO to do with management?

Maybe because it makes it a little harder to see without a bunch of digging?

After requesting all checks written to Eckermann Engineering for 2019, it turns out that even MORE was paid out to him to “engineer” the business park for the millionth time. Specifically $70,800

06/13/19 [check #005015] – $11,800

09/03/19 [check #002533] – $17,600

09/18/19 [check #002536] – $19,400

12/27/19 [check #005017] – $22,000 (will show up in FY 2019/2020 tax filings)

The first three total out to the $48,800 placed into the “management” line item expense on the latest (2018/2019) LEDC Form 990 tax filing. The last $22,000 occurred after the new fiscal year and will (presumably) show up somewhere in the next tax form – which I’ll be lucky to see by November of this year, even though it is required by law to be filed with the IRS by February 15th.

A colossal $239,540 has been paid to Eckermann Engineering between 9/11/14 and 12/27/19 on this ridiculous ‘business’ park. How many times can you “survey” and “engineer” the same crappy goat pasture??

And you wonder why I beat on this Business Park disaster over and over again.

[I haven’t even asked yet how in the hell they wasted over EIGHTY-FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS on “Legal” in only two years!!]

I’ve called the LEDC’s very existence nothing but a slush fund for idiots to play god with and flush money down the toilet with zero results. Disgusting tax dollar waste like THIS continues to prove me right.

P.S. – that is a grand total of $323,540 wasted JUST on Eckermann and “legal” fees for this corpse repository, for those keeping track at home.

Life Under Biden

Observations and predictions:

Biden ran for president in name only. He has never been that bright. He has accomplished little in his almost fifty years in public service. He is physically frail and clearly suffering acute cognitive decline.

Joe is 78 years old today and will be 82 years old at the end of his first term. Both marks are the oldest in U.S. history for a president. Some individuals are still sharp in their late 70s. Biden is not one of them.

The result is that Biden will never be president de facto. With Trump out of the picture, Democrats wouldn’t need him anymore. Steps will be taken at some point to remove him from office on the grounds of mental incapacity under the Twenty-fifth Amendment. Nancy Pelosi recently proposed legislation to set up a commission to do just that as prescribed by the U.S. Constitution.

But while he remains in office, who will be the real president in a Biden administration?

The first camp is the Biden family led by Joe Biden’s wife Dr. Jill Biden, his son Hunter Biden, and Joe Biden’s brothers Jim Biden and Frank Biden. These are the individuals who have been enriched through association with Joe Biden by using or selling access to Biden’s power to win lucrative investment management roles, consulting engagements, construction contracts and other remunerative pursuits.

The Biden family will want to keep Joe in power (with Jill Biden pulling the strings) in order to keep their shakedown operation intact and avoid scrutiny.

The second camp is led by Kamala Harris and those who control her, including the Obama crew and the Resistance. If Biden is removed under the Twenty-Fifth Amendment, Harris becomes Acting President. If Biden resigns under threat of removal, Harris becomes the president.

She would be a front for the Obamas and Valerie Jarrett who would operate through a cabinet consisting of Obama family retainers including Susan Rice, Samantha Power, Sally Yates and Eric Holder.

The third camp is led by the extreme left wing of the party including Bernie Sanders, Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez (and The Squad), Elizabeth Warren and radical organizations such as BLM. This group is already embedded in the Biden campaign as part of a deal whereby Bernie Sanders agreed to end his primary campaign and endorse Joe Biden in exchange for Biden adopting most of the Sanders platform.

The most likely outcome is that the Obama crew and the Bernie Bros will join forces and run the Biden family off the road. The Bidens will be allowed to keep their Chinese and Russian money and will not face any scrutiny or prosecution in exchange for going away quietly.

The Obama crew will take charge of foreign policy (to preserve Obama’s deals on Iran, the Paris Climate Accord and the Trans-Pacific Partnership), while the Bernie Bros will get domestic policy including much higher taxes, free healthcare, free tuition, forgiveness of student loans, guaranteed basic income, Modern Monetary Theory and the Green New Deal.

Ronnie Witcher Takes Covid Handouts – Then Complains Others Did As Well.

Oh Ronnie. I knew you were a raging leftist idiot, but kind of surprised you are THIS dumb.

Ronnie appears miffed that those nasty anti-vaxxers got a handout. Given the fact that people are dropping dead from the rushed-through-testing vaccines and the fact that Ronnie is hysterically afraid of Covid and will thus presumably be dumb enough to get injected himself, you’d think he might even THANK the groups urging caution over the novel and largely untested vaccine, right?

Wrong. He’s going to draw attention to it on his radio news broadcast and call it hypocrisy. So I’m going to return the favor.

Ronnie first grabbed $$ from Mandy Clause through the LEDC $100,000 giveaway that City council approved early this year. But apparently that was not enough to satisfy him.

THEN he nabbed another $18,400 from the feds through the PPP program. According to the PPP records database (which I own in its entirety), it is a sole proprietorship with six employees.

Makes me wonder how a leftist nut who sits in a booth by himself all day (far away from the deadly plague) was impacted AT ALL by this. Did the radio station go off the air? I don’t think it did. Seems to me that sitting isolated in a radio station is probably one of the SAFEST places to be and the LEAST affected by the Wuhan Flu.

According to his LEDC submission, Lampasas Radio had $16,666 in monthly revenue in 2019 along with $14,100 in monthly expenses….for a grand total of $30,792 in profit. Yet he somehow nabbed about $19,000 in ‘relief’ – which works out to about seven months worth of profit! Wonder how he pulled THAT off.

He informed Mandy Clause and the LEDC that the money he got from THEM would be used to “repair outdoor sign” and “other monthly bills” among other things.

Repairing his crap sign? LOL. Sounds pressing.

Of course, that doesn’t matter. A pinko moron will grab any free stuff he can – deserved or not.

We’ll be writing about Ronnie a LOT more in the near future. I don’t much care for his hysterical fearmongering and idiotic Covid updates in that liberal fish wrapper known as The Radiogram. So I am going to make it a project of mine to start tearing his observations apart.
