Unemployed socialist Clayton Tucker DEMANDS you only buy U.S. beef and not that Argentinian stuff! All because some Argentinian beef missed an inspection by accident….

Mind you, there was nothing actually WRONG with the beef and nobody got sick or anything, it just missed an inspection for some reason. OK, whatever.
I have no problem buying Texas beef. I’d choose that first every time, if given the choice.
But he ignores the reason beef imports are needed: U.S. herds are at record lows. People like me will get their beef one way or another. I’m not going to sit here and eat tofu for two years while lazy fucks like Clayton Tucker pretend to ranch but produce nothing. Clayton has supposedly been back in the “ranching business” for ten years now (that’s a lie, but that’s what he says). During that time has has done NOTHING to “rebuild” his herd. His family “ranch” sits there unused while he drives around Texas spreading propaganda about data centers with a land whale.
In fact, he has had the SAME SINGLE COW for sale on his website since September of last year! That’s it! ONE MINI COW!

Also, let’s not pretend like U.S. beef is immune from REAL recalls over sickness and contamination:

This is a country of 330 million people. When you produce food for THAT many mouths, there are going to be quality issues now and then – no matter WHICH country is doing the producing.
Comrade Clayton also ignores the fact that a LOT of stuff comes from South America in our grocery stores. That’s a good thing, since when it is winter here, it is summer down there. That’s why you can get tomatoes and blueberries in December, you imbecile. It’s called “comparative advantage” in economics and it’s why we import maple syrup from Canada, bananas from South America and then export wheat and soybeans. EVERYBODY wins when countries trade that way. EVERYONE gets richer.
Oh, and while we’re on the topic of food contamination, here is a funny story I have told here several times:
Comrade Clayton is (as he likes to brag everywhere he goes) the “secretary for the Texas Farmers Union.” This is not as big a deal as he likes to think. He was the only one dumb enough to take the “job” that nobody else wanted.

It’s a sinecure and he goes to a couple conventions per year. That’s it. Any non-farmer moron could perform this duty easily. It’s just another useless title on his unimpressive resume.

Anyways, the person who held this august position BEFORE him was named Gaylon Amonett.

Gaylon Amonett was ALSO a Texas agriculture inspector! Want to guess what old Gaylon was responsible for? A bunch of people getting sick and dying from salmonella because he was such a fuckup he couldn’t do his job right!

So much for Comrade Clayton’s demand that we “eat local food” – that advice would have gotten you sick or dead, thanks to his moron buddy Gaylon Amonett!
Hilarious.
