Is The LEDC Stupid Enough To Waste $30,000 On ANOTHER “Promotional Video” For The Goat Pasture??

I was at the post office today and happened to grab a copy of that liberal birdcage liner produced by Rhonda Witcher. Imagine how my asshole puckered when I saw THIS gem on the front page!

This has to be a joke, right?

First of all, I was informed over and over and over again by none other than Misti Talbert over SIX YEARS AGO that tenants were “on the verge of moving in.” At least that’s the bullshit she spewed when she pilfered almost $1,000,000.00 of Covid money for her disastrous pet project. Yet here we are with zero tenants and the LEDC actually considering wasting $30,000 on this ridiculous idea.

Secondly, the LEDC has ALREADY produced MANY promotional videos for that shitty “Business” Park. Clearly, none of them worked. They also spent a small fortune on magazine ads, conventions, junkets and other nonsense that ALSO did not work. I have covered ALL of that in meticulous detail over the last 8 years. They have wasted well over $50,000 JUST on “promoting the business park” since I started keeping track.

Here is a tiny sliver of the waste….

Finally: why in the HELL would ANY video cost $30,000? If anything, with the advent of AI video help it should be EASY to create some killer videos for practically nothing.

Why don’t you put Porkchop Kuehne’s art class on the job? Oh wait – they already did that, too! I had to use Google search to find that story but I remember when it happened about 6 or 7 years ago.

According to my search:

Based on a May 2019 report, Lampasas High School students produced a promotional video for the City of Lampasas, which was presented to the City Council. The video was created by Lampasas High School students as part of a promotional initiative. The City Council and other stakeholders were pleased with the work, according to a report.

I’m guessing the cost of that video was essentially zero.

But yeah, let’s spend $30,000 to promote Talbert’s Folly for the 12th time in the last 6 years. Absolutely moronic idea.
