Some interesting stuff on the docket tonight: Hostess House debacle, possibly raising fees at the golf course (some as much as 33%!), Wings of Eagles using some dilapidated old buildings like the the New Hope Baptist Church and also wasting more money on the Old City Hall remodel!
I haven’t live blogged it in forever for two reasons. I’ve been busy and the agendas have been pretty boring. Depends on if I get some mowing done today or if it’s still too wet out there.

5:35pm – Nextlink discussion: don’t care
5:45pm – Agreement with Lampasas Rodeo Association: also don’t care. Although if I’m not mistaken, Greasy Chris Harrison (of S2M2 and skate park fame) was in front of council recently begging for money ($50k? I forget) for upgrading the announcer’s booth or something. The promise was that now they can attract “bigger and better rodeos.” Uh huh. And Martin’s Rod is building a distillery!
I’m not sure it matters much what’s in the rodeo agreement anyways because the City has made it clear (Brodie Estates and Industrial Park) that they don’t hold anyone accountable for their side of the deal. Any asshole can just sign any deal and ignore it. Why not? Finley, Ward and city council are too afraid to speak up and enforce the agreements.
6:10pm – This sucks. They are taking way too long on this rodeo shit.
6:17pm – Ok. Screw this. I remember now why I don’t do this. Will listen at the gym tomorrow then summarize.
