I’ve pounded the table about this many times. The taxpayers get soaked hard for the schools yet the teachers are always crying poor – which spurs morons like James Talarico and Clayton Tucker to demand MORE billions be thrown at the schools.
Where does it all go? Administrative bloat:
At Harvard, there are 2,600 more administrators than undergrads
Harvard University employs about 1,352 full-time administrators for every 1,000 undergraduate students enrolled at the university, an analysis conducted by The College Fix found.
This is more than a nine percent increase from the 2013-14 school year, when there were 1,240 administrators per 1,000 students, according to the analysis, which used data provided by Harvard to the federal Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System.
During the 2021-22 school year, the most recent year for which data are available, Harvard had 10,120 full-time administrators and support staff on its payroll; in contrast, it had 3,899 full-time teaching and instructional staffers. The total number of undergrads that year was 7,483.
Yes, you read that right: there are MORE administrators than there are students! If Harvard is that ass-backwards, what do you think is going on everywhere else? The same thing, I guarantee you.
Hell, the top three guys in the Lampasas ISD pull down over $420,000 between them (plus bennies!!) and they teach ZERO kids.
Frankly, I’d look at the salaries of seat polishers like “Doctor” Chane Rascoe and slash his ridiculous $177,000 salary down to about $60k. If he doesn’t like it, he can go work at Wal-Mart.
Seems like he’s doing pretty well though. He took his big pile of money and went alllll the way to Killeen to spend it on a nice new vehicle! I’m guessing when you are as wildly overpaid as he is, you just pay cash for your vehicle and avoid the sky-high interest rates we are currently seeing.
Weird. I’m pretty sure we have some car dealerships right here in Lampasas. Those dealerships are CONSTANTLY sponsoring Lampasas ISD school events, from what I’ve seen over the last 12 years.
You’d think a guy who pulls $177,000 out of the hides of Lampasas taxpayers every year for polishing a seat might wanna buy his cars locally – maybe keep the $4,000 or $5,000 of sales tax right here at home. Maybe support the dealerships that constantly support the Badgers.
Seems like a dick move, if you ask me.
You’d NEVER see Joey McQueen pull this shit.
