I know it’s January and there is literally snow on the ground, but I’d love for council to publicly state soon that BOTH pools will be open this summer.

When May rolls around, this Covid nonsense will have been going on for WAY over a year. EVERYONE knows the risks by now and can make their own decisions. Our ‘leaders’ need to grow some balls and get back to normal.

Oh, and you might want to offer lifeguards a teeny bit more than minimum wage this time around, so you don’t come up empty handed and cry that “nobody applied for the jobs!” like you did last summer.

If you can hand Finley a $10,000 raise (to $140,000) in the middle of a pandemic last May, you can pay these high-school kids more than a pittance to work a job that actually requires a bit of skill.

Prediction:

Hopes that “covid will go away if Biden wins the election” are incorrect. The lies will get more aggressive and the power grabs more intense.

This is far too good a crisis to let go to waste and this is not a gang that wastes crises.
